Yes, I know it’s early
It’s almost a tradition for me to start my Christmas shopping in October. I like to start early and be prepared (being super organised is almost like an OCD for me). I also hate the thought of leaving it until last minute and being pushed into a pile of clothes by a crazy shopper in Primark because there are only a few weeks left to go.
Ribbons and bows
I’ve created a Pinterest board for Christmas wrapping inspiration. Yes, I am one of those people that spend hours perfecting their gifts, wrapping them in ribbons, bows and cute festive gift tags. This is probably another OCD of mine. Naturally, this got me thinking about what gifts to buy this year which then eventually led to me making my first few purchases. Does anyone else lie in bed at night thinking about what to buy their family and friends? I know, I have no life, but it’s down to the fact that I love making people happy and seeing their faces light up when I buy them gifts.
One of the many reasons why I love Christmas is that it’s the one time of year that my family and I sit down together to have dinner. Everybody is in great mood, enjoying drinks, opening presents and snacking. I look forward to it every year as do most people. Being able to treat my loved ones with gifts is just a bonus.
What I bought
I’ve already bought my winter coat and today I picked up the perfect super soft scarf to go with it. H&M is great this year for those cosy winter accessories and I can’t wait to wear it at the Christmas markets this year.
Discovering Tiger and stocking fillers
I’ve never been in Tiger before but I’ve always found the shop intriguing every time I walked past it. I finally made the decision to pop in today and I’m so glad I did. There are so many cute items in this shop, some bizarre and rather funny. It’s perfect for stocking fillers, games and sweets. A colourful Jenga set, a miniature shopping trolley and some adorable tiny glass spice jars with gold wiring are just some of the things I picked up. The best thing? They’re super cheap and great for those on a budget. Let me know if you’d like to see any of the items I bought 🙌
I wanted to stay and shop for more gifts but my fiancé was hungry and craving a hot chocolate. I think the only time I’m ever not thinking about food is when I’m shopping. Had I stayed in town a little longer, I would have been on the look out for Christmas tree decorations. I’ll most likely post a picture of it for you when it finally goes up in December.
I stopped by the shop on my way home to buy some fabric softener and came across a kinder advent calendar! Now the countdown is a while off yet, but it didn’t stop me getting ridiculously excited. Does anyone else get this excited about Christmas festivities? If so, let me know! I’m always on the look out for new cosy content to read 🙂
